Here at Little Mexico we strive to prepare food from the freshest ingredients and blend of spices and seasonings. Many of our dishes are inspired and created by Mexican heritage recipes. We are also proud to incorporate a delicious American cuisine. Little Mexico has been serving the local community since opening the first restaurant in 1966. Great pride is taken in the preparation of our food. We take great pleasure in serving our communitiy and future generations!
Our Story
Sal Khalighi moved here from Chicago, Illinois and began his career as assistant manager at Little Mexico in 1991. He purchased the business in 1998 from the previous owner. Since he has taking over the business, he continues to follow the same recipes since the business first opened in 1966. Sal and his daughters continue to take pride in serving the Coles County community.
